Finding your way around
Everything you work in — boards, roadmaps, timesheets, org trees, comparisons — lives behind one left-hand rail. Here's what each part does.
The Boards panel: a favorites group, a folder, and a board.
What it does, and where the data comes from
The narrow rail on the far left switches between six workspace types: Favorites, then — below a divider — Boards, Roadmaps, Timesheets, Org Trees, and Comparisons. Picking one opens a panel next to it with its own header (with a live count), a search box scoped to that panel, and its list of items.
Folders and moving things around
Inside the Boards panel, boards and roadmaps can be filed into folders. Drag a board or roadmap onto a folder to move it in, or onto the top level to move it back out — this works no matter how deeply it's already nested. Folders themselves aren't draggable yet, and there's no drag-to-reorder within a level; use the row's own menu for renaming, reordering, or deleting.
Search, favorites, and creating something new
- Sidebar search — the box under the panel header filters whatever panel is open (its placeholder changes, e.g. "Search boards…" vs "Search roadmaps…").
- Favorites — star a board or roadmap and it shows up both in the dedicated Favorites panel and in a "★ Favorites" group at the top of the Boards panel.
- New — the button at the bottom of the sidebar opens a picker: a board template, a Roadmap, an Org / employees tree, a Comparison, or a Folder, grouped under Boards, Plan & analyze, and Organize. Highlighting an option previews its description before you press Create.
Under the hood
The theme toggle in the header flips the whole app between light and dark and remembers your choice for next time. Separately, the app tracks the last board, roadmap, org tree, or timesheet you were on — chrome pages like Settings, Sources, and the login screen don't count — so the Home link in the top nav takes you back there instead of always reopening the same board.
If it looks wrong
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A board or roadmap won't drop into a folder | The drop target has to be the folder itself, not another row inside it | Drop directly onto the folder's row, or drag it out to the top level first |
| Sidebar search finds nothing | Search only looks inside the panel that's currently open | Switch rail sections — a search in Boards won't find a roadmap |
| Home reopens an old board instead of where you left off | You were on a chrome page (Settings, Sources, login) when you last navigated | Expected — Home falls back to the last tracked board, roadmap, org tree, or timesheet |
